With temperatures expected to remain high over the coming days, we would like to remind everyone to take extra care and look out for one another.

Please remember to:

✅ Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water throughout the day.
✅ Avoid prolonged periods in direct sunlight, especially during the hottest part of the day.
✅ Wear light clothing, use sun protection, and seek shade where possible.
✅ Keep homes cool by closing curtains and opening windows when temperatures drop in the evening.

Most importantly, please take a moment to check on elderly neighbours, vulnerable residents, friends, and family members who may need a little extra support during the hot weather. A simple phone call, message, or doorstep check-in can make a real difference.

If you see someone who appears unwell due to the heat, encourage them to move to a cooler place, drink water, and seek medical advice if necessary.
